About

River Canyon Group publishes a small index of hotels in four categories: art hotels, capsule hotels, casino hotels and ice hotels. Each chapter holds only a few entries, and each entry is a short piece of prose.

What it is for

The index is for readers who already know the kind of stay they want and would like a calm, readable starting point. It explains what makes each hotel a fit for its chapter. Practical matters such as rates, availability and reservations belong to the hotels themselves.

How entries are written

Descriptions keep to general, lasting facts about a hotel: where it is, what the building is like, what it offers beyond a bed. We leave out star ratings, reviews and anything that would date within a season.

Independence

No hotel pays to appear, and none is told in advance what we will write. The site carries no booking tools, no affiliate links and no advertising. Inclusion is an editorial decision and nothing more.

Corrections

If a hotel has closed, changed its name or changed in a way that matters, write to editor@rivercanyongroup.com. We check the report and update the entry or remove it.
